The Reverend Ryan Paetzold currently serves as the pastor of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Audubon, NJ. Ryan is a New Jersey native and grew up in Shamong, NJ. He attended Eastern University in St. Davids, PA where he earned a BA with a double-major in Biblical Studies, as well as in Youth Ministry. In 2013, he earned a Masters of Divinity degree from the Lutheran Theological Seminary at Philadelphia, and was later ordained in the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America.

In 2011, Ryan founded OneEastern, an alumni driven community supporting LGBT+ students and staff at Eastern University. He has been a part of and/or worked with a number of ELCA congregations in New Jersey including: Lord of Life Lutheran Church, Tabernacle; Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, Marlton; St. Mark’s Lutheran Church, Oaklyn; and Saint Matthew Lutheran Church, Moorestown. Pastor Paetzold was also one of the original board members of Christus Academy, a private highschool which existed at Christus Lutheran Church, Camden. He currently serves on the Consultation Committee for the New Jersey Synod of the ELCA. Ryan’s ministry is rooted in an understanding that God is fundamentally relational and communal, and that all people are created in that image.

Ryan lives in Marlton, NJ with his art-educator wife, Katie; their rather feisty, yet adorable cockatoo, Peach; as well as two very energetic Pomsky puppy sisters- Yuki and Nutmeg. If he ever gets a free night, Ryan might be found at a concert, musical or play, or at a new restaurant.
